At Urban Garden we believe in the language of flowers.  Your wedding flowers should tell your love story, convey your style as a couple, pay tribute to the commitment you are making, and in the end, cheer: “let’s celebrate!” Call or email to share your wedding vision and we’ll create a design you will love!

Emily Gladnick, Owner/Designer

Even while she was studying English at UC Santa Barbara, Emily knew that she was destined for the world of event planning. Having a natural skill set for the trade, both meticulously organized and exceedingly social, she graduated and set out on her mission to plan the perfect party. She spent the following ten years professionally planning hundreds of high-end, successfully-executed events. During this time she also earned her MBA from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School. While she loved her job, she found herself most inspired by event decor and especially drawn to the floral arrangements.

Throughout her career she worked closely with event florists, learned the trade, and eventually did floral design for friends and family on the side, knowing one day, she would combine her event planning experience with her business acumen and start a floral design company. In 2008, Emily took a break from event planning and started a family. After having two beautiful daughters, she decided to get back to her passions…flowers and events.

In 2011, Emily started Urban Garden Floral & Event Design. Since opening her doors, she has thoroughly enjoyed listening to her clients hopes and visions, creating beautiful and unique floral arrangements and one-of-a-kind event spaces and most of all, making sure those clients leave life’s most important events satisfied.

Kelsie Buccino: Social Media/Marketing

Kelsie Buccino is a Colorado native, but she and her husband couldn’t resist Southern California’s warm weather and sunny beaches, so they headed west. They love living in San Diego, traveling, and their two dogs.  They couldn’t be more excited about their son on the way!

Before moving to California, Kelsie attended Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs, earning her Bachelors of Art in Sustainability.  She has always had an eye for design, and has enjoyed any opportunity to be creative. Kelsie is not only our Social Media/Marketing extraordinaire, but also assists in making our beautiful floral arrangements and delivering on wedding days!
